Great news!!!

Atomic Liquors has new owners! Sadly, it won't be open yet when we go, but we have something to look forward to next year!!!

I don't know how I feel about the renovations...I doubt we'll be able to buy tallboys of Busch.

Let's learn more about Biff's, the official home of STBE 2012

Some of you (Kim) might be thinking, "What? The Plaza changed its name to Biff's? How is that classier?"
The true name of the hotel is The Plaza, but sharp-eyed Back to the Future II fans know that it stood in for Biff Tannen's Pleasure Paradise in alternate 1985. We stayed at Biff's for STBE one year, and managed to get "upgraded" to the nicer rooms. While large and more or less clean, it was pretty gross overall. We vowed to never go back again, but were won over by the recent renovations involving the interior furniture and decor from the never-finished Fontainebleau.

The Plaza now bills itself as "the best hotel & casino in Downtown Las Vegas," and we will be the judges of that!!! The rooms look just as big as before, but much, much fancier.

The carpet used to be super-gross.
They've also changed up the restaurants, including a klassie steakhouse owned by former Vegas mayor, Oscar Goodman. Naturally, he named it Oscar's. Part of the experience is that a "broad" will come talk to you about politics at your table. WTD? I might have to save up to experience true klass. The nasty buffet that got us all sick is now Hash House A-Go-Go. Some things remain the same, such as the Subway and McDonald's on the first floor. Yay, Dollar Menu!!!

Beef, booze, and broads. Sounds klassie.
They claim the rooftop pool is "iconic," and again, we will be the judges of that. The rooftop pool at Binion's was truly a rooftop pool - it was on the top of the tower. There are apparently two pools here, one on the 7th floor, and one on the 5th floor depending on which tower you find yourself in. Also, it's a drop-in pool, and we enjoyed getting our entire group to jump in at the same time to see if we could get it to crash down into the rooms below it (we couldn't). Also, if I recall correctly, the pool area was lined with very tired astroturf that had seen much better days, and the cabanas weren't all that (not that we checked them out or anything). But, the drinks were cheap!

Now, let's go to the reviews (I'll try to find pictures of the pool, too):

TripAdvisor users gave it an average of 3.5 stars (or dots, it looks like), with mixed reviews - some people raved, some people thought it was a dump. Not much is quotable here other than "best non-Nugget choice on Fremont." I never go in expecting much (mostly because I always try to stay wherever I can get the best deal - see: Binions; once you've stayed there, everything else is a luxury).

Yelpers only give it 2.5 stars. My favorite quote, mostly because the grammar is so bad: "Fremont Street restores its old casinos, not destroys them." Points for knowing the difference between its and it's, but it loses points for bad subject-verb agreement. The reviews are also much more helpful than the TripAdvisor ones: "The Swingers Bar has $.50 draft beers." Thank you!!! Also helpful: "The North tower is not as nice as the South tower.  It was doable, but trust me, you want to be in the South tower." I always look down on Yelpers, but they have the answers to the questions I ask: where is the cheap beer and where are the least shitty rooms?

Most of the post-renovation reviews are positive, save for some complaints that seem to have more to do with the class of the reviewer than the hotel itself:
We got a smoking room. One of the people who stayed in the room didn't want us smoking in there so we smoked near the ice machine. Security kicked us out of there too. First of all, if you come to Vegas(especially Fremont) then you shouldn't have to deal with this.
I don't consider it to be a problem with the hotel that they don't want people smoking near the ice machine (the entire review revolves around security being assholes to people who were probably acting like assholes themselves).

Interestingly, Hotels.com users gave it a 3.9 rating, but the first few reviews are pretty bad. There were complaints about a lack of air-conditioning. I'm sure that can be fixed with a quick room change.

I've wasted too much time on amateur reviews, so here's a link to CheapoVegas's overview of the new Plaza. Here's the highlight we've all been waiting for:

How's the Pool?

The Plaza Hotel Las Vegas pool is old and ratty, but decent for downtown. Why couldn't they have put some of that renovation money towards this? It's nowhere near as nice as a place like the Mandalay Bay, but the big rectangular pool serves its purpose, getting you wet!  There are also some dilapidated tennis courts up there that hint at how grand the hotel once was. Ah, the glory days.
Sounds about right. I'm sure we can hoof it over to the Nugget and hang for a while.

That's about how I remember it.

Vegas news

Fitzgerald's (aka The Fiiiiiitz) is no more. It is now the D. Rennovations should be finished shortly after STBE 2012.

Here's what looks to be a local blogger's take on the change.

So...I think we're not staying there.

tomorrow's the big day!!!

Stephen and Ryan are in Vegas keeping it warm for us. The big crew arrives tomorrow! I limited the guest list a bit this year. While the large group (I think we had 15 last year, 18 at one point) was a lot of fun, the smaller group (10) might be a little more manageable.

The bag's all loaded up with ridiculous outfits and ready to go!

Saturday!

I'll start with what I wrote fairly early on Sunday about Saturday's adventures, then I'll do a separate post for Sunday's shenanigans...Here we go!

Saturday was awesome. I went to the pool earlier with Kim and Claire and used the awesome waterslide that goes through a shark tank. We’re pretty sure there was a dead shark in the bottom of the tank. Anyhoo, while there, these two girls who are the spawn of the devil followed me around the pool splashing me. We moved to the other side of the pool and they followed! Finally, I yelled, “I will hit a child!” and splashed a large amount of water in their faces and left the pool.

Later on, we got ready for Mike’s fancy steak dinner at the Binion’s steakhouse. It was really nice up there, but the service was hella slow. It was super quiet in there, too, making our conversations especially inappropriate and out of place.
After dinner, we put on our red hat lady best and hit the town. We were famous! We posed for so many pictures, we decided that next year, we’re bringing business cards directing people to send pictures they take with us to a soon-to-be-created stbe.org email address. I’ll post some pictures of our awesomeness so you can see what I’m talking about. We didn’t get invited up into any nightclubs, but we were clearly the main attraction on Fremont Street last night.

Kim says I need to mention that we were a walking dance party. Everywhere we went, we would end up dancing for a huge crowd of appreciative revelers. Seriously, in Vegas, you walk ten feet and a new song is playing, so it was a constant red hat lady dance party. I'll add some pictures to these posts later, because I have almost three hours until my plane takes off. I don't have too many action shots on my camera because Mike's mom was acting as our official photographer this weekend.

Oh, I don't know how I forgot to mention the end of the night. When we got tired of being accosted by tourists for pictures, we ducked into different casinos and gambled for a bit. At one point, some of our group took over entire blackjack tables. Jose would just be walking around in his outfit and hit up a roulette table to make some bets like nothing strange was going on. At about 3:30, I called it a night and let the other red hat ladies finish gambling. I wanted to be rested up for my birthday because I planned on being hella deucefaced (and was I ever!).

Anyhoo, when I got back to my room, Gabe was in there along with Jessie and Mario. They were locked out of their room because Otto and Daisy locked the deadbolt. They called the front desk who informed them that security locked the door because it had been left unattended with the door wide open. They sent security up again, and the deadbolt was unlocked. Unfortunately, they had also put the chain on the door, so maintenance had to come and snap the chain. When the door was finally opened, we walked in and saw Otto passed the deuce out. Jessie and Mario had been screaming and yelling and calling his phone to no avail. He had gotten trashed earlier and went and called our favorite waitress at Mermaids "Kate Gosselin." Now, we call her that amongst ourselves because of her unfortunate haircut, we don't call her that to her face. When Otto ran up and yelled, "hey! It's Kate Gosselin, you guys! She's right here!" she did not look amused. We pretended we had no idea what he was talking about and excused ourselves from the establishment.

Anyhoo, back to the Otto story. When Jessie and Mario got in, they tried again to wake him up, even slapping him. He woke up briefly and spit on himself. We have no idea where Daisy was, which was fine. "She was trouble," to quote Ryan. I guess he ended up sleeping and peeing in the bathtub at some point that night. We're still deciding on his punishment. I think that's it. Kim will read these and edit as necessary.

Greetings, STBE X fans!!!

I refuse to pay for internet access, so I finally got myself over to the Krispy Kreme. Here's a wrapup of what happened yesterday (note: I wrote this and saved it to Word):

Vegas Day One:

I had to work today and booked my flight assuming my schedule would be the same as last session, but they gave me an extra class. As a result, I would not have as much time as I initially thought, so I had to make a super-secret deal with someone we’ll call K-Dawg to drop me off at the airport right after class got out.
I made it to the airport with just enough time to grab food and coffee before boarding the plane. When I landed, I lucked out and got a shuttle right away and it took less than an hour for me to get in, which is good for a shuttle. Upon arrival at the Nug’, I checked in and requested a room near Mario and Ryan, who had checked in a few hours before.
Mike, Stephen, Ryan and I gathered in our room to show off our fabulous theme night outfits before the boys took off to the pool. I stayed behind to wait for Mario and Otto to return from a booze run and am currently waiting for Kim to show up.
This is the most boring Vegas update ever for sure, but trust me, it’s about to get awesome! Now if only I had wifi…

Oh man. Snowbirds night was a HIT! We posed for pictures with so many people it was ridiculous! Toward the end of the night, some girl spotted us from the balcony of some club and sent her friend down to invite us up. Needless to say, once we determined it wouldn’t cost us any money, we went up and immediately became the main attraction. People were freak-dancing with us and everything. It was totally bizarre. All these people were hella dressed up trying to look all cool and we were dressed up like old people. I really don’t know what to say. It was hysterical. The exact words of the friends Susie (the girl who spotted us) were, “my friend likes the looks of you…and wants to know if you'll come and join her!” Man, we are so awesome!

I’ve had a long day, so I’m off to bed. More adventures await us tomorrow! If people thought Snowbird night was out of control, look out for Red Hat Lady night!!!

Kim here. I can't believe Ginger didn't mention Escape: The Journey Tribute Band, which was the start of our Fremont Street Experience, before our indecent proposal to join Susie. Fake Journey were committed to playing the entire Journey catalog, which meant that they were playing deep album cuts, and the "Grammy nominated in 1996, but I think it should have won" power ballad "When You Love a Woman." (Google it.) Also, Fake Steve Perry had a penchant for wearing shirts that were just not quite long enough for his torso. He needs to take care of that.

Thanks, Kim! Expect more awesome updates as the weekend progresses! We were pretty subtle last night compared to our red hat lady outfits, so tonight is going to be out of control (tm Regis Philbin).

The Golden Nugget is the home of STBE X

Mike and I spent a lot of time jumping through hoops with Priceline trying to book a room at the Nug' on the cheap. We were able to book for $50 a night using a $10 per night credit (so our bid was technically $60). The Nug' must really be classy, because we were only able to get a 25% discount off the advertised rate, as our attempts to get 50%, 40%, and 35% discounts were turned down. Anyhoo, our persistence paid off and we secured a rate that we felt was pretty good for a classy (with a c!) hotel.

Since we are not rich and can't afford to book enough rooms for 13 people, we booked one room. The info is now here for you! Whatever the going rate is for a 4 star Vegas hotel in the Fremont Street area, bid 25-30% under that and you'll have yourself a room at the Nug'.

And now, for the reviews!!!

It looks like I'm gonna have to do some digging for some comically bad reviews since we're actually staying at a nice hotel. Let's see what I can find...

I have never written a review before. I am not that fussy and most places for me are acceptable. The Golden Nugget was simply terrible. We arrived at 2 a.m. and had to wait in line for 30 minutes. No non smoking rooms were available so we had to wait another half hour. We were than sent to a smoking room that had a very offensive odor . The whole floor and room were stained and VERY tired. We went back to the front desk and were sent to another room that was NOT a 4 star. the front dsek [sic] clerk said this is a real problem, too many smoking rooms and can't accommadate [sic] non smokers. Do not stay here.

This one isn't a bad review, but I do enjoy their random use of quotation marks:

My wife and I were in Las Vegas to see Garth Brooks and it happened to be Sprint Cup NASCAR weekend also. The best rates we could find online were at a "lower end" yet very famous strip hotel. From the time we arrived we were NOT happy with our accomidations. We did NOT get all we were promised on the phone, from 1600 miles away. They were unfriendly, dirty and not at all helpful with problems. We had called the Golden Nugget, but due to the NASCAR weekend, they were all booked up. On Monday after the race was over, we called The NUGGET, and they "bent over backwards" for us, and gave us a beautiful room, starting that morning, let us check in immediately, knowing we had to be out of our hotel, and the whole time we were there the staff, from check-in to housekeeping, treated us like "hi roller royalty" which we are a long way from.
The entire hotel complex is glamourous, friendly, and the pool is awesome, the casino is clean and modern and our whole trip (starting that Monday) was a very pleasant experience. We get several emails a week from Hotel/Casino complexes, with very reasonable rates, but I erase them as sonn [sic] as I get them as, when we go back to Las Vegas, and we do, at least two times a year, we will not stay ANYWHERE else but THE GOLDEN NUGGET, ever again.

Hard to believe these people are far from "hi roller royalty," isn't it?

The Horrible Grammar Award goes to...

This was my first trip to Vegas and I can't wait till next year to go again and we will stay at the Golden Nugget then also. Then hotel was beautiful and we were in the Rush Tower so there was no street noise whatsoever. The staff was wonderful and usually I have so much trouble sleeping when we travel because of the hard beds but this one was great. I wanted to go for the pool but coming from Texas the weather was a little on the first day and the rest of the week other issues had it closed but we did use the one in the Hideaway so that worked out ok. I would surely recommend this hotel to any one going out to Las Vegas. It was defintly worth the money and I would reccomend it to anyone the only thing is the bathrooms are to small.

Someone needs to tell that person about commas and spellcheck.

OK, I'm already tired of looking for comically bad reviews of this place. I think you all get the picture. The Sugar Twins have grown up, at least for this year's trip. The Nug' better live up to the hype!

Where are we staying this year?

I want to stay Downtown at the only classy hotel there is: The Golden Nugget.

Mike is leaning toward the Striiiiiiiiiiiip.

Thursday in Vegas

Gabe took off at about 8 this morning and I cleaned up a bit in the room (it looked like my bag exploded) while deciding what the hell I was gonna do for food. Nothing at Caesar's is cheap, there's no free WiFi to be had anywhere on the premises, and I really didn't feel like walking anywhere in the heat. In the process of organizing everything, I realized I had left my Nascar/Dale Jr./Budweiser boxer shorts at home! Now I need to find more "patriotic" pants for tomorrow night! I'm sure I can find something.

Anyhoo, I finally cleaned myself up, pushed the "service please" button (yes, they don't do "do not disturb" tags at Caesar's), and headed toward the Palazzo, where I heard there was free WiFi to be had at the First Restaurant and Bar. It's pretty pricy, but if I can blog here, I guess I'll pay a little extra. Plus, I'm relaxing today.

I ordered a PBR right away because, well, they have it on tap. It's like some sort of rule of life that if a place has PBR on tap, you have to order it. Look it up somewhere. The bartender totally forgot to take my order, but was apologetic when I walked up to the bar to order a "Tommy Burger" (a build it yourself deal, which is perfect for people like me who don't like much on their burgers). I even took a picture of it, a la Kathy with a C and her burger blog). The burger (that I'm currently eating) is delicious. Very good meat, cooked perfectly on a nice bun. The fries are thin, similar to the ones you'd get at Claim jumper, but sprinkled with Parmesan cheese, which wouldn't be my choice, but they're good anyway.

I'm really not doing anything of interest right now, so I'll finish my lunch, get another beer and add some pictures.

Sorry, I'm not doing anything interesting while on my own! I had a couple of beers, though, we'll see what happens! I'm heading back to the Palace now so I can go swimming and watch TV from the shower again.

By the by, the PBR is only $3 a pint here, not bad for a drink in an actually classy place on the strip.

Ginger in Vegas

She's already begun the Sugar magic. Surely she'll be updating soon.

livin' it up at Caesar's!

I can't believe the things rich people pay for! TVs built into bathroom mirrors! Phones by the toilet! Automated curtains! Giant flat screen HD TVs with less than basic cable! Anyhoo, below are some thoughts I jotted down last night whilst hanging out in my internet-less room. Well, it could have been internetful had I thrown down $15, but who the hell pays for internet?

My flight was pretty good. I got on the plane armed with 4 Southwest drink coupons (it’s a short flight, I wasn’t planning on getting more than 2 drinks) and was excited when the drink menu listed Bud Select! My favorite! I quickly ordered one and handed over the coupon to the fabulous flight attendant. He was hilarious. Before we took off, he told us to sit back and relax…or lean forward and look tense. He came back about 15 minutes later and asked if I wanted another one. Feeling pretty buzzed (I don’t drink on planes, but it was free, so what the hay), I said I could do another one. He quickly returned and told me, “this one’s on me” when I tried to hand him my coupon. Let’s hope that’s a good omen for the weekend! I tipped him a fiver on the way out and told him he was fabulous.

Once on the ground, I grabbed my bag and headed to the shuttle stop with my CLS shuttle company token from 2 years ago when they forgot to pick me and Mike up from the Vegas Club and we were forced to take an expensive cab ride to the airport in order to make it on time. I expected them to put up a fight, but they took my token and sent me on my way. The driver waited until the shuttle was full to take off, but it still didn’t take too long.

When I got to the hotel, I checked in and was told I had to put down a $200 deposit on the room. I immediately protested because it’s supposed to be a free room, so the lady put a $100 deposit on the room and told me to make sure I didn’t touch anything in the mini bar so I wouldn’t get charged. I also noticed that Bill Compton from True Blood seems to be on the key card for my room. And the woman he is with is most certainly not Sookie Stackhouse!

I'll try to take a better picture later, and edit it right away. For some reason, I can't rotate the image. And I held the camera too close, but trust me, it's totally Bill Compton.

The room, upon first inspection, didn’t look all that impressive. Two beds, a desk, and a square-chair, meh. There’s a big flat screen TV, but there aren’t that many channels (I know, I’m supposed to be out gambling, but these are my bonus days where I plan to do nothing but laze around). The bathroom is impressive, though, there’s a nice tiled shower with two shower heads and a bench, but I don’t recommend sitting on it. I tried to and immediately decided it was an accident waiting to happen (I took a shower so I could watch the TV that is built into the mirror while I showered). There’s also a phone next to the toilet in case you REALLY need to make a phone call. That’s how you know the room is fancy.

I went and grabbed a quick lunch and a couple of beers across the street (luckily, Caesar’s is across the street from cheap alcohol Meccas O’Shea’s and Casino Royale) and came back here to eat and watch junk on TV.

Gabe got here around 8, which was about the time I figured out that the WiFi in the lobby wasn’t free. How rude! You’d think with all the conventions in this town, there’d be some free WiFi somewhere.

Anyhoo, Gabe had just driven for like 10 hours, so we went across the street to O’Shea’s and had Burger King for dinner, then left when we decided we couldn’t stand to be around the frat boys playing beer pong in the background. We went over to Casino Royale, bought a couple of Bud Selects (thasright!) and sat down at the penny slots and played a couple of bucks so we could collect on a “free” cocktail while we played. We didn’t stay long, because we were both full and tired, so we headed back and watched Mythbusters before going to sleep.

I'll throw up some pictures later, but for now, here's this while I post in real-time at a bar at the Palazzo.

beer money

The other day, I was looking for jobs and came across a website (listed on Berkeley's career website) that said I could get paid to click on ads. So far, I've made a whopping 93 cents! Woo!

Anyhoo, I've decided that I'm going to see how much money I can make from clicking on ads between now and the end of August and then use it for beer money in Vegas. So far, there haven't been a whole lot of ads for me to click on, but it seriously took like 2 minutes. If you're interested in earning some beer money for Vegas, click here.

If we all join and get other people to join, maybe we'll even end up with a few bucks for the slots!

Saturday in Vegas....

OK, so Binh and I are on AIM trying to remember what we did. God, grad school really makes it hard to be able to blog long stories about what we did almost a month ago.

I think we started off the day fairly late by going to the McDonald's downstairs at the Plaza. We all ordered off the dollar menu because we aren't suckers. We then made our way down to the Deuce stop where we all purchased OFFICIAL Deuce passes for the day. That was where we saw the dude with the bad combover.

When we finally boarded the Deuce (if I recall correctly, people were having problems figuring out how to buy Deuce passes? I don't know. We finally told them to use cash since it was taking forever with credit cards.) it took us forever to make it to our destination. The Deuce used to be a relatively quick way to get up and down the strip, but now that they've branded it "the Deuce" more people know about it, therefore, it's more crowded. Then people insist on requesting every available stop. Anyhoo, it was taking forever, I remember Jose being really annoyed.

I think we got off at Excalibur and took the moving sidewalk to Mandalay Bay where we all made a beeline to Rumjungle where we each ordered Volcanoes.

Here are some random dipshits drinking Volcanoes. Because it's apparently not obvious, we don't know these people. I googled "rumjungle volcano" and did an image search. These are the dipshits I chose.

After the Volcanoes (I'm not sure what's in them, I know it involves several kinds of rum, a few of them being 151 proof and some sort of juice and grenadine) we went into the casino for a bit. It was there that I became a multi-hundredaire by winning $200 on the penny slots. I know, I know, I could have won 25x that had I played max bets. I was already playing max lines, isn't that high roller-y enough?

After that...hmmm....what did we do? Oh, we went to the Trop to get our free pull and coupon books...which included a free $5 bet on roulette. We all promptly lost. But it was free, so it's not like we could complain. We also got two-for-one drinks. I think Gabe didn't want his coupon, so I used it to get more beers.

We continued to work our way up the strip, stopping to see the lions at MGM (they were sleeping, yet there was still a huge crowd) and then ate at the food court next to the Coke museum. After that, we hopped on the Deuce and went to O'Shea's to see if there were any midgets running around (there weren't) and to see what the beer pong thing was. It was pretty lame, I thought people would be playing beer pong for money, but they weren't. They were just playing beer pong in the middle of a casino.

I tried my luck at that wheel of fortune game, you know, the one with the different dollar bills on it? Anyhoo, I turned my back and the lady spun it and it went like a quarter of a turn and she was all, "oh, you lose." WTD??? Jose is my witness, I was ripped off! Shortly after that, we caught the Deuce and headed back to Fremont Street so we could get in our Butt Rock clothes.

to be continued...I swear!

Here's something to tide you over.

Sorry I'm taking so long to blog about the trip

I got back from Vegas and started school the next day. And there's a lot more homework than I expected.

Here are a few highlights from 80s Workout Video Extras night:

We were mistaken for Fannypack. I thought they meant this Fannypack:

Apparently, they were referring to this Fannypack:

I guess that's fair. I don't know why I immediately thought they were talking about the singers of the hit song Cameltoe. Maybe I was feeling self-conscious about the hot pink tights and short shorts. We thought about choreographing a dance routine to be performed at the nearest lounge, but I forget why we never got around to it. Probably because we're not contestants on America's Best Dance Crew for a reason.

Our next highlight was trying to buy drinks at the bar. I'm guessing because we were dressed like fools, it gave the bartenders license to totally ignore us. We eventually got drinks after I yelled that we had been standing there for 10 minutes and were guests at the hotel. Needless to say, those a-holes did not get a tip.

We headed over to Mermaids where we knew we would be served and the waitress who got us bombed last year remembered us. Imagine that. Makin' friends! She brought us several drinks and we continued to lunge and stretch our way up and down Fremont Street posing for pictures with and for whoever wanted them.

That's all for now, I'm tired. Hopefully, I'll get to the rest of the trip sooner rather than later.

edited to add:

Oh! We lost Gabe that night! We went to cash in our nickels at Mermaids (I know, who doesn't have ticket machines these days?) and for some reason, Gabe thought we left them. He had no pockets (and therefore no phone) and had wandered over to the Third Street Stage to watch the 80s cover band which included fake Rod Stewart, Robert Plant, Stevie Wonder, Pat Benetar/Joan Jett (I like how they're interchangeable) and Ringo Starr (what?). For some reason, he thought we'd end up there, but he thought wrong. We went back to the hotel and watched from our window for him and saw him strolling down the street confidently. Way too confidently for a guy dressed like he was, but he later told us that that's really the only way to walk when everyone's staring at you and the rest of your equally hideous partners in crime aren't with you. He immediately put pants on, but stripped back down to the shorts when Jose arrived and joined in on the fun.

OK, I think that's all for tonight.

Extra night of fun, anyone?

Ginger booked her cheap flights (thanks to Southwest Ding!) and will be arriving on Thursday night (the 21st). She's also booking a room for that night at the Plaza (or perhaps somewhere else, to mix it up, she's open to suggestions and has already looked around - Binion's is $32, Vegas Club is $27, the Plaza is $29), so anyone who wants to come early, feel free to email her and join the fun. As you know, the super official email is ginger@stbe.org.

Jose is 99% in, so that's already two party people hitting the town to celebrate Mike's birthday for him while he enjoys a quiet night at home!!! Think of how cheap we can make that room! We're already at $15 a person!

Hotel rooms are BOOKED!

We found a great rate online and checked to see what the rate was through the hotel itself, and it was the same, but with the added bonuses of not having to pay a broker fee and more flexibility with regard to cancellation.

Total cost based on 4 people per room is $35 including tax!!!

Oh, and we will be staying at the beautimous Plaza Hotel & Casino in fabulous downtown Las Vegas!

!!!BREAKING NEWS!!!
Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinh is iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!!!!!!
