evite on its way!

The evite is on its way! Everything's all filled out, just waiting for a few more email addresses and names, and of course, the official 4 month warning to send it out.

If you haven't been on an STBE evite list before and would like to be, please let one of the Sugar Twins know.

oh yeah...

stbe.org is up and running.

theme night suggestions from facebook

"Anything involving fanny packs and socks with birkenstocks."

"Blue Man Group."

"TMNT."

"Ghetto Prom" http://www.tantoday.com/forums/pub-tan-today/242-north-philly-ghetto-prom-i-almost-died-laughing.html

Big ups to Lundy for remembering the FLDS theme. For those of you not in the know, we're talking about polygamists with the bouffant hair with the braids.

theme night ideas

From internet research:

Construction Party
Jeans, t-shirts, work boots, hard hats, sack lunches, construction obstacle course, barricades, yellow lights and signs.

Since we'll be mobile, we can skip the signs and barricades. We'd also run the risk of people thinking we were a really lazy Village People cover band.

Magical Moments
Capes, top hats, mystery meals, balloon artists, magicians, audience participation, black and white décor, magic wands, decks of cards, doves, rabbits.

People might expect us to actually perform magic tricks. Or we get beaten up.

Patriotic Theme
Hamburgers, hot dogs, apple pie (picnic food), singers, games/races, U.S. flags, hats, presidential memorabilia.

Sounds like white trash to me!

Bible Heroes Night

I call Bibleman! Wait, what? He's not actually in the Bible? God damnit!

I think Nikki suggested Celebrity Impersonator night one time. Bad Celebrity Impersonators?

That's all I have for tonight.

STBE '09 theme nights

What theme nights do you think we should do at STBE '09? We'll be Fri-Monday again, so we'll have 3 nights of awesomeness.

Last year we did 80s Workout Video Extras, Butt Rock, and Red Hat Ladies.

New suggestions are always welcome. The only rule is that people should be able to look at us and figure out what the theme is.
